Yesterday, the Dotonbori Shopping Association held its general meeting, and this year's budget and activity plan were decided. While visitor numbers were slightly down in April, May has seen a significant increase in visitors, making the area lively every day.

Now, the Dotonbori River Lantern Festival, a summer tradition, will begin on Wednesday, July 1st. This year, we have received donations of 2,100 lanterns, surpassing last year's 2,025, beautifully illuminating the Dotonbori night. On Saturday, August 8th, we will hold the Dotonbori Bon Odori International 2026. We aim to create a fun event where we can dance together with international visitors.

This year, too, we will prepare various events to ensure that everyone leaves with a smile and says, "I'm glad I came." Thank you for your continued support.
