Well, the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 has opened. We visited the Expo on Friday, May 9th as part of the "Reiwa 7 Dotonbori Shopping Association Owners' Meeting".
I had previously heard that the size of the Expo site was one-third that of the Dubai Expo, but when I actually looked into it, I found that the Dubai Expo was 438 hectares and the Osaka-Kansai Expo was 155 hectares. I expected it to be quite compact, but there was a considerable distance between the West Gate and the East Gate, and I walked more than 20,000 steps.
As I mentioned in Tonbori News, this time I was able to eat, visit two pavilions, and go around the souvenir shop. I plan to return in June, so next time I hope to take my time to look around more places.
