To our valued *Tombori News* readers,
This year, many of you likely faced significant travel difficulties—such as disruptions to train schedules during rush hours—due to the heavy rains brought by the "twin typhoons" (Typhoons No. 7 and No. 8).
On a brighter note, we are excited to announce that starting Monday, July 6, a new "Myaku-Myaku" monument titled "Irasshai" (Welcome) will be installed at the site where the "Genkotsu" (Fist) sculpture once stood. We hope you look forward to it!
The months of July and August are also packed with exciting events, including the "Dotonbori River Manto Festival," "Osaka Minami Summer Festival & Nigiwai Square," the "Namba Yasaka Shrine Summer Festival (Dotonbori River Boat Procession & Land Procession)," and "Dotonbori Bon Odori International 2026."
We invite everyone to visit Dotonbori this summer and enjoy everything the area has to offer!
