The Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 concluded on October 13th with great success. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the many visitors who visited Dotonbori during the event. Thanks in part to the Expo, Dotonbori is currently seeing a 20% increase in visitors compared to last year, making it a very lively area. We are truly grateful for this.
However, behind this bustle, new challenges have arisen. Two years have passed since the trash cans were installed, and while the number of visitors has increased by 20%, the amount of trash has increased by a whopping 50%. Aiming for a safe, secure, and clean city, we will continue to work hard to solve this trash problem.
This year, there are plenty of events planned. The Japan Professional Baseball Japan Series will be held around Halloween on October 31st to decide the best team in Japan.
Minami Festival 2025 will be held at Namba Square on November 15th and 16th.
The Dotonbori Kawamen Butai, organized by the Ittoko Minami Executive Committee, will also be participating.
Positioned as an after-Expo event, Takoyaki EXPO 2025 will be held in Dotonbori Shopping Arcade.
It is expected that more people than usual will visit Dotonbori.
